Manufacturing Work-in-Process
The power of the technology also allows items running through your production line to interact with floor equipment. Work-in-Process items, tagged with RFID tags, can auto-program equipment such as furnaces and conveyor belts, setting them to appropriate levels without the need for manual interaction. Information can be added to items as they run through specific stages in your process (example: heat id, x-ray id, Rockwell, etc.). This information can then be extracted at any time point of the item’s lifetime, allowing for paperless and granular traceability of the product.
Manufacturing Resource Planner (MRP)
S2S-OMS® can tie into your enterprise system by allowing RFID data to be directly communicated to your MRP. Subsequently, events like inventory and product data extracted from the RFID edge can be directly pushed to your existing applications. This allows a more accurate and efficient analytical response from those applications.
